An important military delegation from The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia headed by the Defence State Minister, Mr Brehanu Abera, arrives today in the country for a 7 days study tour. In 2010, the Government of Ethiopia established the ‘Army Foundation’ that can be considered as the equivalent of the Rwandan military/police cooperative, Zigama CSS.
Therefore, the visit of the Ethiopian officials mostly aims at learning from the experience of Zigama CSS, almost 15 years old, in terms of improving the welfare of service men and women. « We believe the Rwanda Military Cooperative Bank experience will be the best bench mark for us’’, reads a statement from the Ethiopian Ministry of National Defence.
While in Rwanda, the Ethiopian delegation will also pay a courtesy call on the Rwandan Minister of Defence, General James KABAREBE.
